Mid-Level Drupal Developer

Insignia Federal Group is a professional consulting firm headquartered in McLean, Virginia. We are interested in connecting with experienced Mid-level Drupal Developers to support our federal government clients. Such roles typically require developing custom PHP code and modifying Drupal content management system (CMS) modules. You should be independently motivated and dynamic, have solid object-oriented development skills, and be adept and knowledgeable in the principles of design and web development languages, and working within a complex and secure DevSecOps CI/CD pipeline.

 

Successful candidate:

●  4+ years of web and software development experience, including 2+ years hands-on with Drupal CMS and PHP

●  Hands-on UI/UX collaboration experience and working knowledge of MySQL/SQL

●  Proficient with Git-based source control workflows (GitLab, GitHub), including commits, branches, and merging

●  Familiarity with Drupal 9/10/11, content types, views, contributed modules, and basic site-building

●  Experience with Drupal theming, Twig templating, and CSS

●  Working knowledge of web security, access control, and authentication concepts, with awareness of Drupal security updates and patching

●  Ability to troubleshoot site issues, resolve cross-browser/cross-platform compatibility problems, and apply basic caching and performance concepts

●  Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, collaborate with technical and non-technical team members, and work effectively in Agile/Scrum environments

Section 508 Trusted Tester

Insignia Federal Group is a professional consulting firm headquartered in McLean, Virginia. We are interested in connecting with experienced Section 508 Trusted Testers to support our federal government clients' IT accessibility programs. Such roles typically involve conducting manual and assistive-technology-based accessibility testing of web applications, software, mobile applications, and electronic documents using the Trusted Tester Conformance Test Process and the Section 508 ICT Testing Baseline. You will document conformance findings, write clear and actionable remediation guidance, and work alongside developers, program managers, and other accessibility testers to help agencies meet their Section 508 and WCAG obligations.

 

Successful Candidate:

Accessibility Testing & Methodology

●  3+ years of hands-on experience testing websites, web applications, or software for Section 508 / WCAG 2.0–2.2 Level A and AA conformance

●  Working knowledge of the Trusted Tester Conformance Test Process and the Section 508 ICT Testing Baseline for Web

●  Manual code-level inspection skills (HTML, ARIA, DOM structure) to identify accessibility defects

●  Testing experience with screen readers and other assistive technology (e.g., JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack), including keyboard-only and screen-magnification evaluation

 

Tools & Platforms

●  Familiarity with accessibility testing tools such as ANDI, axe DevTools, WAVE, Accessibility Insights, or Lighthouse

●  Mobile app (iOS/Android) or electronic document (PDF, Word, PowerPoint) accessibility testing experience is a plus

 

Reporting & Remediation

●  Clear, well-organized test reports and Conformance/VPAT-style documentation for technical and non-technical stakeholders

●  Developing actionable remediation guidance, collaborating with development teams to validate fixes, and estimating the level of effort, timeline, and cost to remediate defects

 

Collaboration & Program Support

●  Managing multiple systems or applications under test as part of a broader accessibility team, with the organizational and communication skills to explain findings clearly across technical and non-technical audiences

 

Required Qualifications: MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN OR AUTHORIZED TO WORK IN THE U.S. WITHOUT SPONSORSHIP. At least 3-5 years of experience testing web-based systems and applications for accessibility. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience. Must be detail-oriented with strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision on multiple concurrent testing efforts. Must be able to write and understand code specifications with a strong understanding of Section 508 and WCAG best practices. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

●  Current DHS Trusted Tester certification (v5.1 or later)

Information Architect

Information Architecture & Content Modeling

  • 8+ years of experience in information architecture, UX, or digital content strategy

  • Experience with content management systems

UX Research & User-Centered Design

Senior Drupal Full Stack Developer

We are interested in connecting with experienced Senior Drupal Full Stack Developers to support our federal government clients. Such roles typically require developing custom PHP code and modifying Drupal content management system (CMS) modules across the full technology stack — from front-end interfaces to back-end architecture and database design. You should be independently motivated and dynamic, have solid object-oriented development skills, and be adept and knowledgeable in the principles of design and web development languages, both client-side and server-side. A successful candidate will collaborate within an Agile framework and with cross-functional teams to design and develop innovative Drupal CMS capabilities, which include system architecture and design, front-end development, database administration, infrastructure/deployment support, and testing.

 

Successful candidate:

●  Web and software development experience:

○  8+ years of web and software development experience, including 2+ years hands-on with Drupal CMS and PHP, with demonstrated full stack capabilities

○  Hands-on UI/UX experience and familiarity with principles and working with designers to successfully implement interface designs

○  Hands-on SQL experience, including database design, optimization, and administration

●  Back-end/full stack:

○  Strong object-oriented PHP development skills and experience building/customizing Drupal modules

○  Experience with Drupal's API ecosystem (REST/JSON:API) and integrating Drupal with external systems
